Imagine running 26 miles...... Well I've finally mustered up the courage to attempt a marathon! Am I mad....well probably, I'm still not sure what has come over me!!
I live and work in John O' Groats. Anyone who knows me will regularly see me out jogging around the local roads in ALL weathers. People would often say I should try the marathon, but never thought I could ever complete the gruelling 26 miles. Then last year Anne Swanson and myself decided to attempt a 10k run together. We entered the Inverness 10k in October 2006, our training went well and we completed the run easily. We also raised a lot of money for two charities; Caithness Deaf Care and Canisbay and Dunnet Day Care Centre.
